Spaces That Educate

Pane 1

In the Tündérkert, or Fairy Garden, kindergarten, education is based on environmentally conscious personality development. The same idea was behind the archetypal situations of the architectural design. Located in the focal point of the establishment, both structurally and conceptually, the open atrium represents the Paradise Garden. It offers a pristine experience that can best be compared to the fairy gardens of folk tales.

Pane 2

Running around the courtyard, the corridor connects the three basic units—the playroom with the toilets, the covered terrace and a courtyard with its own small garden. The unbroken connection with nature and the rhythmic order of transitional spaces are recurring elements. The presence of nature is more than just a pleasant idea; it is tangible reality, since the structural solutions and technological systems were designed with environmental awareness in mind, while the acquisition costs were successfully kept well below average.
