Perched on a steep hillside, the building was adapted to significant differences in level. Only the squat tower of the garage, built with a low-pitched roof, and the upper storey of the traditional building mass are visible from the street. One must approach from the valley to truly appreciate the cascaded design, which splits the structure into areas dedicated to different functions. A combination of brick and natural stone, the facade is a bona fide structural element in itself. Factoring in the Italian ancestry of the client, the floor plan resembles the structures of the "borgo" towns of northern Italy.
