Family Home
Budakalász, 2010

To this day, Budakalász is dominated by the traditional longhouses that stretch over narrow plots. Tailored to contemporary needs, the family home was designed according to the same formula. The main bulk is complemented by a cross-wing that evokes the light structure of the barns. With its Fachwerk appearance, it represents the local German traditions followed by the client. In addition to the large chimney pillar, the canopy, which takes over the function of the porch, also extends into the space between the two independent masses. The corridor, the wardrobe and the entrance hall is provided with light from the fake atrium, which made it possible to build the rooms according to a pragmatic design.
