Budapest III, 2004

The familiar atmosphere of suburban Csillaghegy is generated by the organic unity of the street facade, made up of rows of houses that resemble the Swiss villas of Buda, albeit in a more modest fashion. The atrium built around the middle of the narrow strip of land was designed to let in as much ambient light as possible. The tightness of space is somewhat eased by the wooden paneling on the second floor and the spectacular creeper plants. Soon all members of the family came to like this protected spot, which evokes the bygone splendor of the neighborhood.
